Panama Shipping Registrar Inc. (PSR)

Panamanian company registered under the laws of the Republic of Panama since 1984.

In its early days, the company started its operations in the Republic of Singapore, with 2 employees and 3 surveyors, mainly carrying out Annual Safety Inspections.

In 1986, the company moved its headquarters to Panama, and started working as a Recognised Organisation to carry out inspections and issue regulatory certificates on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Panama.

Today, PSR has authorised inspectors in the following countries: Panama, Egypt, Korea, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Venezuela, Canary Islands, Cuba, United Arab Emirates, Spain, Greece, Germany, Taiwan, Korea and other countries.

Our policies include continuous updating on national and international regulations and a monitoring programme of all certificates issued, which guarantees the condition of our vessels.

Our prices are the most competitive in the market, adjusted to the costs required by shipowners.

To guarantee our work, we have implemented a Quality System, based on the ISO 9001 Standard.

The company has also developed a Code of Ethics, governed by the principles of integrity, impartiality, independence and transparency, which is closely followed by all PSR staff.

SURVEY AND CERTIFICATION

Upon request of our Agent or interested party, PSR head office or any of our Regional Representations will send the quotation and scope of inspection, when the quotation is accepted, the nearest PSR qualified surveyor will be instructed to proceed with the inspection of the vessel, after a satisfactory inspection, the acting surveyor can issue the Provisional Certificate valid for 5 months.

The staff will review the documentation in accordance with the applicable regulations, if everything is in order and all documentation submitted complies with the regulations, a Full Certificate of Good Standing will be issued, which will be given to the vessel to keep on board at all times.
